Shenstone Visit 8th March 2023

It was not possible to go on the long walk that had been arranged today, due to the very inclement weather.  However, a sizeable number of members bravely came along and, instead, made the short walk up to The Old Church Tower at Shenstone, where very knowledgeable guides gave a fascinating talk about its history.  Thanks are due to Iris Cooper who took these photos, which really convey the age and interesting details within the building.  After the tour, a very welcoming hot drink, accompanied by teacake or scone, jam, cream and strawberries, had been prepared for us by the volunteers at the local Community Library.

We are very grateful to everyone for turning up in the miserable weather conditions and, hopefully, a return trip to Shenstone will be arranged when the weather is better.
