Reasons for Joining
You may be surprised to learn that local history still abounds with new discoveries. These are made by people interested in their own family, a particular house or street, or just generally curious about the past. Joining us may help you find the sources you will need to delve into these areas, help when a problem is encountered and also give newcomers an appreciation of how their own particular interest fits into the overall picture.
Members of the Group can each have their own research project or they could combine with others if they so wish. As projects are completed, the articles are duly posted on the website.

Occasionally, the Group organises visits to places of historical interest and members also receive regular emails with up to date information regarding these and other local issues.
