On Thursday 13th July 2023 several members of SCLHRG met up at the Museums Collection Centre in Dollman Street, Nechells for a visit.
We were welcomed by one of the staff who gave us a brief talk on the items we were likely to see.
The warehouse is massive and stacked to the rafters with various treasures which at the moment have no other home. There are also many of the exhibits from the Birmingham Art Gallery which is currently closed for renovation. It was good to see some of the Sculpture and to know that it is being safely stored.
The allocated 2 hours was not nearly long enough (for me at least), but there was certainly something of interest for everyone.
