Remembering Norman Granville Evans

It is likely that only a few of the current members of the Sutton Coldfield Local History Research Group will recognise the gentleman in the attached undated photograph and yet he is one of the founders of the group in the 1980s, along with Roger Lea, and was its first President.  Sadly, he died on 22nd September, 1992.

Norman Granville Evans contributed greatly to our knowledge of the history of Sutton Coldfield and his work is one of the best sources researchers can use and rely upon.
