Proclamation of the Accession of King Charles III

At 1.45pm on Sunday 11th September 2022 a gathering took place at Holy Trinity Parish Church to hear the Proclamation of Accession of King Charles III read by Councillor Jane Mosson, Deputy Mayor of the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield.  She was accompanied by the Rt. Hon. Andrew Mitchell, Member of Parliament for the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield, Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands Dr. Nazir Awan MBE, the Reverend Canon John Routh Rector of Holy Trinity and the mace bearer Olive O’Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer of Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council.

Music, prior to the Proclamation, was performed by the choirs of Emmanuel Church, Sutton Coldfield Chamber Choir and Holy Trinity Church, all under the directorship by Richard Mason.

There was a very good attendance in church to witness this short but historic ceremony.
