'The Little Church on the Hill' by Peter Knight
Details the growth of St Michael's Church since its inception in 1853, its establishment followed by consecration in 1857, its development with later additions to its size over the years leading up to the 1900's, as well as its almost total destruction by fire in 1964, its rebuilding and re-birth since, and as a focal point of life in Boldmere.
The book contains over 700 images (many in colour), of which a large proportion are previously unseen, life stories of its clergy as well as short biographies of some of those local and sometimes world renown individuals who have enhanced it in many ways over the past 160+ years. The book contains 271 pages, which includes a forward, a detailed photo index and a contents index.
